History Channel aired an interesting two-hour documentary tonight that I participated in as a commentator about Saint Malachy O'Morgair (1094-1143). Born in Armagh, Northern Ireland, he became the Archbishop in Armagh, and first met Bernard de Clairvaux at Clairvaux Abbey, where he stayed while in France during his pilgrimage from Ireland to the Holy Land. So impressed with the asceticism and "perfection of the religious life" of the monks at Clairvaux under Bernard, they became close friends where Malachy expressed a desire to join the abbey as a monk. Bernard advised him to return to Ireland to establish a monastery there. (Konemann, Page 256, 2006) In 1142, he established the abbey of Mellifont in the Boyne Valley roughly a 45-minute drive north from Belfast.
What most people don't know is on the granges, or lands, of the Cistercian monks at Mellifont were three megalithic ritual temples archaeologists today call "passage tombs" for the dead. The most famous of these is a UNESCO World Heritage Site called Newgrange. In fact, these incredible structures believed to be over 5,000 years old, were ancient observatories the monks actually excavated in the twelfth century. Having visited the site in 2012, it is quite clear Newgrange, which has a long stone-lined tunnel with three niches at the center, captures the light of the rising sun to the southeast on the Winter Solstice. What few people know is the alignment of the tunnel and the deepest most niche are most accurately aligned to the planet Venus at sunrise on the shortest day of the year. This fact is further evidenced by the eight "X's" carved in base relief into the slab of stone directly above the entrance that allows the light of Venus, and the sun, to enter the tunnel on the solstice. Eight is the number of Earth years it takes for the planet Venus to make the five-pointed star when viewed from Earth astronomically. It is a deeply sacred number to the Cistercians and many other cultures who embrace the "Hooked X" ideology of Monotheistic Dualism.
You might be asking what does all this have to do with the Malachy Prophecy? The simple answer is the Cistercians, and Saint Malachy, were deeply versed in astronomy/astrology and understood the concepts associated with Precession of the Equinoxes. Essentially astronomer priests, they received ancient knowledge passed on through initiation and ritual about the 26,000 year long cycle of the twelve primary constellations of the zodiac when viewed from Earth. Possessing this knowledge was how Malachy knew something profound was to occur in 2012, the same year cultures like the Mayans, who also understood and venerated astronomical precession, knew the old "Great Year" would end and the new "Great Year" would begin. It's quite possible, if Malachy in fact made the 2012 predictions, the presence of the ancient megalithic observatories on the granges at Mellifont may have had something to do with that knowledge and the prophecies.
I cannot help but feel a draw to this personally. I don't know if it is because I have already felt this way and for several years have said it just FEELS more and MORE of an immanent threat, or if I have been researching and finding so much information already. It's almost as if sirens are going off in my head!!! I learn more about my heritage again tonight. St.Malachy Was Irish. Our biggest DNA % is Welch Irish, followed by Iranian, Iraqian, Turkish, Pakistanian, Iberian Peninsula and Native American. I know Iberian Peninsula was current Portugal and Spain along with Southern France and Strait of Gibraltar. As I have been visiting our family cemeteries i see the Star of David carved in these stones over and over again. I just assumed they were marking our Melungeon graves. In the cemetary where King David Benge's grave is in KY, there us a 15 year old boys grave that looks like THE City of David is carved in it over 100 years ago. Not to mention all the carvings in the Petroglyph at Manchester, one was the 5 pointed star as well correct? We aren't Catholic so there's a lot I don't know personally from that angle, but I do keep finding and plugging in all these pieces into this Huge puzzle! Thank you VERY much Sir, for helping people search for answers when things we've been told don't add up!
ReplyDeleteUnknown,
DeleteI have to admit to being confused about the details in your comments. However, the overall point is not lost and I am happy to hear that you are making progress in your own personal search. I'm sure the answers are and more will come if you keep up the effort and your passion.
And now my 2nd time watching i just noticed something else....also from the Petroglyph in Manchester KY"Christ the rock the Temple Cornerstone?
ReplyDeleteIt was an interesting show. You did well and it's great to see you back on TV.
ReplyDeleteAtagreg1,
DeleteThank you, I'm sure you'll see me on TV again soon.
Scott, I didn't watch the show, so I'm finding it hard to make any sense of this post....
ReplyDeleteParagraph 1.... A little history of Malachy O'Morgair. Okay.
Paragraph 2.... An intro to Newgrange located on the Cistercian property in Ireland. So far, so good.
Paragraph 3.... What is the Malachy Prophecy? And, what does any of this have to do with Pope Francis and the possibility of him being the last Pope?
Bart
Bart,
DeleteI suggest you watch the show when you are able. Then you'll be in a better position to process the answer to your last question. The simple answer to the last question is: everything!
Will you ever have a new show?
ReplyDeleteStay tuned...
DeleteIf Francis is the last pope, then the Church will have succeeded in creating, sustaining and fulfilling one of the most ridiculous hoaxes in all of Western History over the past 1000 years.
ReplyDeleteThe only other ridiculous hoax with potentially the same influence and magnitude, also perpetrated by the Church herself is that of Fatima in 1917.
Scott,
DeleteI personally agree with you on the first point. I'm not sure what to think about the second, but my "Spidy sense" is tingling and not in a good way.
The curbstone pictured shows 7 swirls reminescent of "A Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. Could these be the known planets at the time? They could have regarded the moon as a planet at that time, correct me if I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteMoises,
DeleteActually, I only see five complete spirals. The spiral is an ancient symbol for the Golden Ratio otherwise known as Fibonacci sequence. It is also an ancient Goddess symbol which is likely more connected to these spirals than anything else.
You'll have to forgive me for not quoting a source but, I honestly don't remember where I picked this up. "The Sun draws a complete spiral upon the Earth every 3 months". Therefore, 5 spirals would equal fifteen months. There are other possibilities. Calculating the drift of certain stars for instance. Remember the Pleiades used to look like a bullseye. See the Nebra Sky Disk.

Scott,
ReplyDeleteSeveral thoughts in regards to this subject and the documentary. I'm pretty sure Malachy's prophecy of the popes was a forgery made by a 16th century cardinal due to the accuracy of the popes prior to 1590 and the lack of accuracy to the majority of the popes after 1590. There are a lot of people who have claimed to be prophets, I wouldn't take their prophecies at face value. The whole Fatima, Portugal prophecy is complete BS, anyone can say they saw the virgin Mary. The Fatima prophecy was most likely a hoax. I also heard you mention that you think that the marriage certificate of Jesus and Mary Magdalene is hidden in the Vatican Archives. How do you know this? Is there proof? There is a lot of secrecy and mystery surrounding the Vatican archives, but I'm not sure about this marriage certificate. Regardless of whether or not it's from the first century, wouldn't the Catholic church want to destroy it as they would see this document concerning Jesus and Mary as blasphemous? I agree with you that Christianity and Catholicism are dying, and you could interpret the Pope prophecy as a new beginning without organized religion, but I think the Cardinal that wrote this prophecy was being literal just to scare the Catholics and keep them under control.
Moses Rothschild
Moses,
DeleteTo say I'm skeptical of the Fatima apparitions would be an understatement. To be frank, I thought the story told in the special was lame. I was interviewed for two hours and talked about how St. Malachy could have known about anything significant happening around 2012 which, of course, had everything to do with Precession of the Equinoxes. Apparently, a late edit by the network took that out and inserted the "End Times" angle. I suspect they thought explaining precession was too much for their audience to take in and went with the 'death and destruction' angle instead. I can appreciate that from a business perspective, but was still disappointed.
In any case, I wrote about the marriage document in my new book and provide two interesting sources you'll have to wait a little longer to see. However, I don't have any problem with the Vatican having a copy, or likely multiple copies, of the Jesus/MM marriage doc. They've always known the truth was going to come out eventually and likely wanted to be able to say they always knew. Now we just need to get more people in the world to think critically and demand they open the archives up.
Scott great show and was glad to see you back on history. The Fatima miracle is truly an unexplained event. Anything else coming up that you will be on? Thanks
ReplyDeleteBryan,
DeleteI am confident you'll see me on TV again soon.
Interesting post. This caught my eye:
ReplyDelete“What few people know is the alignment of the tunnel and the deepest most niche are most accurately aligned to the planet Venus at sunrise on the shortest day of the year. “
I don’t understand. Does Venus sit in the same spot in the sky on the winter solstice year after year? I thought it moved about and returned to any given spot every 8 years. Am I missing something?
Hi Dave,
DeleteSince the sun and Venus are known in esoteric circles as the "Eternal Travelers" and ancient cultures venerated Venus as the physical manifestation of the Goddess in the heavens (the sun considered a male Deity), it makes sense the primary alignment of megalithic structures like Newgrange to be aligned primarily to Venus. As you correctly point out, Venus returns to essentially the exact same point in the sky every eight years to within seconds. Therefore, as evidenced by the eight "X's" on the lintel stone above the opening to the tunnel, there was likely a huge ritual celebration every eight years.
Keep in mind, most people forget that not that long ago there wasn't the "noise light" we have now and the light of Venus could cast a shadow on its own.
I believe the following quote can be found in one of the books by, Robin Heath.
Delete"On the distant horizon, it takes the Sun exactly 33 years to return to the same spot."
The good news is that there is not really an end-of-days...only an end-of-days as we currently know them and mostly enjoy them. Even the year 2012 was seen as meaning a new beginning, not an end.
ReplyDeleteChristians have the hope of not only a "rapture," out of worsening future conditions, but also of a future that includes a very well-run Millennium Reign on this planet--with an eventual New Heaven and New Earth, unless I'm not understanding things correctly. There are quite a few variations of the exact sequence of events that will take place, but there will eventually be an end-of-days...when "time" shall be no more. But, where will the Light come from?
Happy trails, and best wishes for all!
- Gunn
Gunn,
DeleteThe "light" will come through education, tolerance, civility, mathematics, geometry and astronomy, to name a few...
Hello Scott,
ReplyDeleteTwo quick questions.
What is the "golf club" called that St Malachi is holding?
Does the octagonal shaped lavatorium have the same dimensions and orientation as the Newport Tower?
Anthony Warren
Anthony,
DeleteFirst, the "gold Club" is called a crozier. What is most interesting about this symbol of a Bishop is the spiral, symbolic of the "Golden Ratio" and Fibonacci sequence.
Second, the dimensions are very similar to the Newport Tower. Not sure about the orientation being the same or not.
Hi Scott
ReplyDeleteI am very interested when you say the Cistercians and Malachi knew about precession. Can you give a source for this that can teach me more?
Unknown,
DeleteHere are a couple of links that touch on both the scientific and mystical aspects of precession:

Scott if Jesus married mm then he is just a poor Jew who went to France so why would he matter
ReplyDeleteUnknown,
DeleteThat's a strange comment. What exactly do you mean by a poor "Jew who went to France?" Can you be a little more specific?
Scott,
ReplyDeleteCan we quit calling Mary of Bethany, Mary Magdalene? I'd like to propose Marybeth for expediency.
Anthony Warren
Scott I hear they’re shutting down google +. Please tell us how to keep up with you.
ReplyDeleteScott,
ReplyDeleteI noticed something interesting while watching college football this weekend. Has anyone ever noticed, what Notre Dame University calls "Touchdown Jesus" is actually the sign of the Widow? Similar to the Ankh with hands raised to the Sun as pictured in your Jesus ossuary post.
I've seen a stained glass window portraying Jesus with arms crossed in Masonic prayer, however, I hadn't noticed the significance of "Touchdown Jesus". Probably because I couldn't stand the institution growing up. Their football team could be 0 and 11, still ranked #2 in the AP poll.
Anthony Warren
Scott I missed the show but will try and catch it. If you read the language and wording at the time it says Jesus and his companion Mary Magdalane the word companion at that time meant spouse. So even in religious texts they tell you they were married. Also it is known that she was from a blood line of kings making her royalty as well .His daughter Isabelle and possibly even a son name I am not sure of . Not sure why the Catholic Church would not admit what in their own texts admits to.
ReplyDeleteTheir is much in the Vatican that could change history as we know it if shared .I hope to see you on TV soon.
The Knights Templars knew the truth about all of this and most paid for it with their lives .The hooked X as you well know leads to the blood line of Jesus and Mary .
Frankly, you didn't miss much. I was asked to be interviewed to discuss the reason a Twelfth Century monk would know something profound would occur almost 900 year later. It was all about Precession of the Equinoxes, but at the last minute the network cut that content for an "End of the World" finale. It was stupid.
DeleteThe true Templars certainly did, and still do, know the truth and we will be sharing that truth to the world very soon. It has started with the release of volume 1 of the Earl Henry Sinclair journals and the Cremona Document. Check out my latest blog post.
